Students will delve into world of microorganisms. Students will use microscopes,
staining and slide making techniques. They will examine various microbes, including
daphnia, amoeba, protozoa, yeast and bacteria and discover their impacts on the
environment and human health.
Sandlapper Sleuths
Grade Level: 4-8 Duration: 45 minutes Capacity: 20 Location: Mobile Lab
Students will investigate sand and its unique characteristics. Using microscopes,
and micrometers, they will observe compare and contrast sand from different locations.
They will learn about the processes that form sand and its landforms, dunes, beaches and
sandbars.
Mad About Electronics
Grade Level: 9-12 Duration: 60 minutes Capacity: 20
Students will construct an electronic circuit using capacitors, resistors and more.
They will learn to solder and construct their own working electronic device.

Electrophoresis Workshop
Grade Level: 9-12 Duration: 120 minutes Capacity: 20 Location: Mobile Lab
High school students become scientists as they experiment with the electrophoresis process.
This lab investigation will provide experience in material preparation, sample testing,
