ScienceSouth To Kick Off First ScienceSaturday
Posted Tuesday, February 3, 2009
Florence, SC, February 3, 2009-Area children will delve into the wonderful world of weather
during ScienceSouth’s first ScienceSaturday on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 9 am to noon.
The event is one of several hands-on, science themed workshops to take place every first
Saturday of the month.
“We had such great success and even greater requests for events like December’s
Sciencepalooza, that we thought having one big monthly science-themed event would be a
good fit,” Sheryl Love, director of marketing and development, said. “How great is it
that kids coming on Saturday will get to understand weather, something that they experience
everyday, in a new and more meaningful way.”
ScienceSaturdays are every first Friday at the ScienceSouth Pavilion at Freedom Florence
located at 1511 Freedom Blvd. The events are for children five to 12. The cost is $15 a
child, which includes a light snack.
